Content programmes

One expert conversation. Four useful formats.

The efficient content programme does not repeat one piece everywhere. It gives one strong idea a different job in every channel.

The same source material can support an article, a client briefing, a series of personal posts and a newsletter note. That does not mean the copy should be divided into smaller pieces and distributed unchanged. Derivative content works when each format is rebuilt around its reader and purpose.

Begin with a definitive source piece.

The core article should hold the complete argument: the context, the expert’s position, the support and the implication. It becomes the source of truth for the rest of the programme and gives later formats something substantial to work from.

This also protects consistency. Different channels may emphasise different ideas, but they remain connected to the same considered position rather than drifting into a series of disconnected observations.

Give every format a distinct editorial job.

A LinkedIn post might open with the sharpest practical distinction and invite discussion. A client briefing can foreground who is affected and what deserves attention now. A newsletter introduction may connect the idea to a broader pattern the audience has been following.

The value lies in selection, not compression. Each piece should feel complete in its own environment, even when the underlying thinking is shared.

Create once; publish on a deliberate rhythm.

A well-planned source conversation can support several weeks of useful publication without making the expert repeat the same briefing four times. The editorial team does the adaptation while the expert reviews a coherent family of work.

That rhythm turns content from a sequence of emergencies into an operating system: fewer blank-page requests, clearer approvals and a public point of view that compounds over time.

The expert supplies the judgment. The editorial process gives it structure, clarity and a form ready to carry their name.
